Longfield is situated on SH1 between Hinds and Ealing. This farm is managed by Matt and Sam Bell. In their first season Matt was awarded the prestigious Young Farmer Of The Year title.
The 283-effective hectare farm was purchased in 2012 and converted to dairy being completely redeveloped and 100% regrassed for milk supply in July 2013.
Milking 1050 cows through a 70 bail rotary with an in shed feed system. The farms irrigation water is provided by Mayfield hinds irrigation scheme and supporting groundwater.
Milk is supplied to Westland milk products
